1. Who We Are
Sink It is a free, browser-based daily puzzle game operated by PlaysInKit (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the game:
- Anonymous usage analytics — page views and interaction events via Vercel Analytics. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
- Google account information — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google OAuth. This is used solely to save your puzzle progress across devices.
- Puzzle progress — for signed-in users, we store which puzzles you have completed and how many stars you earned. This is linked to your Google account.
- Support submissions — if you contact us via the Support form, we store your name, email, subject, and message to respond to your enquiry.
- Local storage— your daily result and game stats are stored in your browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you sign in.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To save and display your puzzle progress (signed-in users only)
- To respond to support enquiries
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the game
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
4. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth— for optional sign-in. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — our database provider, hosted in the EU. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Vercel — our hosting and analytics provider. Vercel Analytics is GDPR-compliant and does not use cookies.
5. Data Retention
Puzzle progress is retained for as long as your account exists. Support submissions are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time via the Support form.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us via the Support form on the game page.
7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to maintain your login state (via Supabase). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
